Functional medicine - Hormone balancing

For Dr. Résimont the anti-aging medicine is a combination of functional medicine, hormone balancing, change bad eating habits and possibly also of aesthetic medicine but is certainly not limited to aesthetics alone.

Some explanations (by Dr Resimont) :

• Anti-aging medicine
• Retro-aging

The Anti-Aging Medicine explained
by Dr. Résimont

"To explain the better, I say this: We can compare the functioning of a car with the functioning of a human body.

The human body is 1 million, if not 10 million times more complicated, the car needs air, water, oil and petrol (or diesel) to work well with most of a skilled worker, a mechani , which sets the optimal operation of the engine. With regard to the human body, we need hundreds or even thousands of substances brought by food. Everything is metabolized incredibly complicated chemical reactions. For these chemical reactions do we need enzymes, hormones. As such, the hormones can be considered "workers of the body."

It is evident, therefore, that a deficit even with part of one or more of these hormones, the body in its entirety malfunction that is to say, it does not work optimally.
In addition, with age, the endocrine glands is to say that secrete hormones work less well and therefore inevitably decreases hormone levels and it starts around the age of 20-25 years.

Supplementation or hormonal balancing thus keeps running-setting body good. This is not doping but optimization.

Before functional medicine even existed, medicine only interested deficits complete frankly pathological ex. Addison's disease where eg. the adrenal gland does not work (at all) and cortisol (cortisol natural) collapses, while in functional medicine, we are interested already moderate deficit or less would not be taken into account in medicine , but which nevertheless implies that the patient does not feel well, dysfunctional.

You should know that moderate dysfunction of the body but can lead to prolonged serious diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular problems and major diseases (Alzheimer's, autoimmune disease such as multiple sclerosis, etc.)..
The aim of Functional Medicine is to be preventive vis-à-vis these diseases rather than waiting for a serious and permanent condition.

Another example: diabetes "bold" type II At university, we were taught to treat diabetes type I or II once they were installed, but no action when we see diabetes "happen" (possible combination of family ATCD: impaired fasting glucose with high insulin levels, glycated hemoglobin increase) At most they will say to the patient: "Attention must lose weight or", and the patient who has No other information will eventually develop diabetes.

In functional medicine, we radically change his diet, he will establish a sports program and to reduce its hormonal intra-abdominal fat. Thus it is well known that adequate levels of DHEA, growth hormone are preventive vis-à-vis diabetes and growth hormone allows the patient to "consume" the intra-abdominal fat, etc.

Retro-aging medicine

Is there a real way to "rejuvenate" ?

The physiological age of the body can be significantly less than the actual age is so that people who age well and have eg. 50 years have someone compatible operation with an age of 65-70 years. I have some patients who eat well, have a more than regular physical activity, balanced with optimal hormonal supplementation for all that is negative and tests show that these people may have a physiological age (functioning of various organs) and very reduced can earn between 15 and 20 years. So, personally, I feel much more efficient at the age of 50 years when I was 20 or 25 years.

Since the use of growth hormone in anti-aging medicine, we have a real rejuvenation of organs for several years.

How is this done?

It was believed that growth hormone only served to grow children, but we realize that adult completely deficient in growth hormone dies very early, often before the age of 50 from heart problems. In fact growth hormone has a role in maintaining healthy bodies and a remedial role. All anabolic hormones, testosterone growth hormone DHEA, used to repair whatever damage to muscles, tendons, joints, but also at the level of organs. It is therefore not surprising that in case of failure, these repairs do not only very slowly or not do more.

Until what age can you live?

In fact, each cell divides into 2 and then 2 and 2 and a few decades, Hayflick was highlighted after a certain number of cell divisions (average 50) cells as well as the whole line they depend dying. Much later, it was discovered that this was due to telomere shortening.
Telomere? It is the end of chromosomes. This piece is like tip plastic laces, it prevents the loop to alter, fraying. In fact, originally, this little piece seemed of no avail since it encodes anything. At each cell division, this little shortcut is and when it is too short, the cell enters senescence and dies. This little piece also serves to protect the genetic material, that is to say, the DNA from external aggressions. In fact, when the telomere is too short, the cell is much more likely to become cancerous or deteriorate irremediably damage by chromosomal material.

Is there a way to re-extend the telomere?

... to live longer, to keep our cells alive longer than suggested by the simple mathematical calculation of the number of divisions ...?

Well YES : currently several substances can lengthen telomeres. The only 2 that are proven and are Epitalon ta65 which is already marketed for several years. See website www.ta65.eu
The ta65 extract, astragalus, presents based enzyme telomerase which elongates the telomere re. Subjectively, the patients who are under 65 TA feel, after a few months, an improvement in their physical condition, a decrease in fatigue, decreased the number of hours of sleep needed, which is logical since the different organs rejuvenate . It has been scientifically proven that their cardiac function, respiratory function and improved immune function. Unfortunately, this is an expensive treatment, but what is the price of life?

BY WHAT SHOULD I START?

By balancing hormones? taking or activators of telomerase? I would say that one does not go without the other.
However, it is much easier to take a telomerase activator as it is a small capsule to take morning and evening. The effect, unfortunately, begin to be felt after only a few months since we have a gradual rejuvenation of various organs and also endocrine glands and therefore higher rates of circulating hormones. Nothing proves that we can have an effect similar to a real hormonal balancing. You should know that if support for DHEA deficiency in testosterone, thyroid hormones, Magnesium, etc.. the effect is felt very quickly within 3 to 4 days after the beginning of the initiation of treatment. Thus some patients deficient "relive" literally within a few days.
